  1. I especially like the view because the newer buildings are behind the State House and the old Scollay square neighborhood is in the front. Scollay Square was torn down just before I was born being a place where sailors like to go. My mother showed me the old subway sign once when we walked around the corner of one of the platforms at Government Center I think. Supposedly you could smell the molasses there for years after the great molasses flood!
